Glendale Recurring Cleaning | 22 years in the market

The most common mistake in commercial cleaning contracts is choosing frequency by budget rather than by building requirements. A facility that needs weekly cleaning and gets bi-weekly service is not saving money — it is getting a building that does not look or smell the way it should, and paying to fix that problem later. A facility that could function well with weekly service and gets nightly is paying for more than it needs. The right frequency is the one that matches the actual use of the building.

The case for nightly cleaning (3 or 5 nights/week)

Nightly cleaning is appropriate when any of these apply:

  • Your facility serves patients, clients, or customers in person daily — medical offices, clinics, retail settings with high foot traffic
  • Your facility handles food preparation or service
  • Your building has compliance or infection-control requirements that mandate daily disinfection
  • Your restrooms serve a population of more than 15–20 people per day
  • Two days of accumulation creates a visible or hygiene problem — this is subjective, but most experienced facilities managers can identify it in their own buildings
  • Cleaning must happen after business hours and you need confirmation that it was completed before opening — nightly cleaning allows same-day verification

Three-night service (typically Monday, Wednesday, Friday) is appropriate for facilities in the above categories that have lower daily use or where the accumulation between two and three days is manageable. Five-night service is standard for high-use or compliance-sensitive facilities.

The case for weekly cleaning

Weekly cleaning is the right frequency for most professional offices in the Glendale market — facilities with 10–25 daily occupants, low compliance requirements, and standard surface types. One week of accumulation in a 15-person professional office is noticeable but not disruptive. A weekly clean restores the facility to standard without requiring a significant additional investment.

Weekly service is also appropriate for small retail and showroom spaces, professional services offices seen by clients occasionally but not daily, and facilities where in-house daily tidying (not cleaning) handles the day-to-day accumulation.

When bi-weekly is and is not appropriate

Bi-weekly (every two weeks) is only appropriate for very lightly used facilities: a storage and records office visited twice a week, a small satellite office with minimal daily occupation, or a facility that has robust in-house daily cleaning handled by staff. For most commercial facilities in the Glendale area, bi-weekly results in a visibly dirty building at the end of week one and an overworked crew at the start of week two — which increases per-visit cost and does not improve the outcome.

If cost is the driver, weekly cleaning at the minimum required scope is almost always a better outcome than bi-weekly cleaning at a fuller scope. We can help identify what can reasonably be reduced to make weekly service fit the budget.

Getting the frequency right

The right frequency for your facility is determined during the walkthrough. We look at occupancy, surface types, restroom count, and compliance requirements, and we tell you what we recommend before you commit to a contract. If we think weekly service will not work for your building, we say so. Call (866) 958-8773 to schedule a walkthrough.
